FAQs

Questions founders ask us.

How we invest, how we help, and what to expect when you apply.

Investment focus

What does Alder Pike invest in?
AI and software companies serving the Gulf's economic transformation, specifically Arabic-language AI, energy and industrial optimization, government services (GovTech) and logistics.
What stages do you invest at?
We lead seed to Series A rounds. We will occasionally write an earlier check when a team is exceptional and the market timing is clear.
Do you lead rounds?
Yes. We prefer to lead or co-lead, set terms, and take an active board or advisory role. We are also happy to bring trusted co-investors into the round.
Do companies need to be based in Saudi Arabia?
No. We back founders building for the Gulf, wherever they start. Many of our companies are founded abroad and establish a regional presence with our help. What matters is a credible path to customers in the Kingdom and wider GCC.

Working with us

How do you help after investing?
Our focus is commercial: we help founders navigate public and enterprise procurement, prepare for government and giga-project tenders, localize product and compliance, hire senior regional talent and build relationships with key buyers.
Can you help us win government contracts?
We help founders understand procurement processes, meet qualification requirements, structure local entities and partnerships, and get in front of the right decision makers. Winning is still on the strength of your product.
Do you reserve capital for follow-on rounds?
Yes. We reserve a meaningful share of the fund to support our companies through subsequent rounds.

Applying

How do I pitch Alder Pike?
Use the application form on our Apply page. A warm introduction helps but is not required. Every submission is read by a member of the investment team.
How long does the process take?
We aim to respond to every application within two weeks. If there is a fit, a typical process from first meeting to term sheet takes three to six weeks.
What should I include in my application?
A short description of the problem and your product, your traction to date, the team, how you will reach customers in the Gulf, and the round you are raising. A deck link is helpful.
Will you sign an NDA?
Like most venture firms, we do not sign NDAs at the initial stage. We treat every submission confidentially.
